The rating scale “Innovation premium” is measured by reference to each company’s record of launching new products and entry into new markets.
Investors attribute additional market value to corporations demonstrating this innovation premium and customers benefit from access to their ever expanding product ranges.

Our sincere sympathy goes to friends and colleagues in Japan and to all who suffered as a consequence of the severe earthquake and terrible tsunami which occurred on Friday, 11th March 2011.  None of the SMC factories suffered structural damage, but power supplies in some areas were interrupted for periods of time.

All other SMC factories in Asia, Europe and the US will ensure output is maintained at optimal levels in order to meet customer requirements. Stocks of product held in the European Central Warehouse are being used to ensure continuity of supply.

With the acquisition of AP Tech, SMC is now able to offer a wide range of products suitable for both low and high pressure applications and primarily applicable to the Ultra High Pure and Process Industries.
