ITV Electro-Pneumatic Regulator

SMC has extended its range of electro-pneumatic regulators by adding the Profibus, Devicenet, CC-link and RS-232C serial communication protocols. With the use of an integrated PCB a convertor is not required so the regulator can be hooked straight into the bus line. The ITV allows step less control of a pneumatic signal via an electric input signal. As well as the new serial communication protocols the ITV Is compatible with both current and voltage input signals. Port sizes range from 1/8” to 1/2” and set pressure as high as 9 bar.

IDK: Moisture Control Tube

SMC’s innovative IDK series moisture control tube prevents the operation failure of small actuators attributed to the build-up of condensation. Not only does it prevent failure it also extends an actuators service life as it stops lubricant from being washed away.
The IDK can be easily installed into any application by one-touch fitting. The product does not need any purge air or power to operate unlike membrane or desiccant solutions. During operation only super saturated and condensed moisture is removed thus issues caused by dried grease or ozone do not occur as the IDK does not lower dew point.

VF: 5/2 Valves

The updated VF Series 5/2 valves offer reduced power consumption from 2w to 1.55w and increased performance. When the power saving circuit is selected power consumption is further reduced to 0.55W. AC coil specification now comes with a full wave rectifier as standard meaning that the valve runs at reduced noise levels. The use of a built-in strainer in the new V200 pilot valve prevents any unexpected blockages due to foreign matter. Service life has been extended from 20 million cycles to 50 million cycles. HNBR seals are standard, overcoming any possible issues with ozone in air lines.

XT661: Non-contact Cyclone Pads

The new non-contact cyclone pad from SMC offers non-contact transfer. Ideal for applications with workpieces sensitive to scars or suction traces, thin, porous or workpieces with holes. Due to its unique design lifting force has been increased by 50% and air consumption has been decreased by 50%. The original groove pattern design provides a larger suction area and a more even pressure distribution.
