In accordance with the machinery directive 2006/42/EC and safety standard ISO-13849, SMC has launched the VP500/700-X536 series safety dump valve which adheres to Category 1 and 2 system architecture according to ISO 13849-1 and the VP500/700-X538 series safety dump valve which adheres to Categories 3 and 4 system architecture. Both series are designed with integrated limit switches which can detect the main valve position. Each model is available in both 3/8” and 1/2” ports sizes and can be specified either internal or external pilot. Both valve series offer the choice of a conduit type electrical connection to the limit switches or through an M12 connection.

The series is applicable to Categories 3 and 4 architecture to conform with ISO 13849-1 and is compliant with performance level e. The X87 model is available in 3/4" port size and in both internal and external pilot specifications. The series is designed with integrated limit switches to detect main valve position.
