MY3A/B:Mechanically Jointed Rodless Cylinder

The MY3 range has been further extended to now include the 20, 32 and 50mm Bore sizes.  The MY3 range offers significant savings in terms of mass and space when compared to the MY1 series, with mass being reduced by as much as 55% and height and overall length have been reduced by as much as 36% and 140mm respectfully. The unique oval piston design enables this reduction in mass and height. Available in stroke lengths as long as 3000mm.

MK:Rotary Clamp Cylinder

SMC has consolidated both the conventional MK and MK2(T) series into the new and improved MK that allows 3 times the moment of inertia to the previous model. This new series permits autoswitches to be mounted on all 4 cylinder surfaces with no projection of the switch. Bore sizes range from 12mm to 63 mm, while both tapped and through hole mounting are available in the one body.  The overall body length of the MK2 has been reduced in the new MK and the standard stroke range has also been expanded.

VBA10A: Booster Regulator


The continued development of SMC’s VBA Booster Regulator range has now seen the VBA1110 replaced with the VBA10A. The development has doubled the operating life of the range due to the use of a floating piston structure and the addition of a grease retaining ring. Operating noise has also been reduced by 13dB with the inclusion of a damper with the switching valve assembly. At the boosters supply port a wire mesh has been included to prevent failure due to foreign matter. Output pressure can be set as high as 20Bar with an increase ratio of 2:1. Maximum output flow rate is 230l/min.

PF3W: Compact Flow Switch for Water


SMC has extended its range of flow switches with the development of the PF3W compact flow switch for water. Continuing with SMC’s ethos of product development and innovation the PF3W is available with an integrated temperature sensor. As standard the switch can be operated with a mixture of water and ethylene glycol solution.  Outputs can be selected between switch and analogue for both flow and temperature. The 2 screen 3 colour display can be rotated through 270°C and though the main screen only displays instantaneous flow, the secondary screen can be selected to display the set value, accumulated value, peak or bottom, fluid temperature or the name of the line on which the switch is operating. The PF3W is 40% smaller than the current PF2W and also requires less piping space.
